  • Whats the make of the lights? Are they cateye?

  • no, they are light and motion.

  • lol, how stupid of me. I'm actually looking for some good head lights for my mountain bike, they need to be powered by standard aa batteries, any good suggestions?

  • powered by standard batteries? thats not very powerful. do u need them for singletrack nightriding or just streets? Cateye are normally very good and powered by standard batteries.

otherwise, if you don't want a bulky battery connected to your lights, "hope" do some very good rechargeable bikelights. They are quite expensive, but really really good.

  • It is a nice light. Apparently it is the Light In Motion ARC- a series of very powerful HID lights- helmet or bar mount. a couple of battery options incl nimh & lith.... Starting price around $300. Battery life at full power is 3-4 hours!!! I just ordered the nimh version and it was shipped this morning. Initially I had a hard time with the price but everything i've heard and read says they are the best out there. They blind oncoming traffic!

  • What model light and motion? I take it these are HID? What is battery life?

  • BLT Firewire 4.0 runs on 4 AA's, 6 hour burn time. They are LED lights. I had some BLT lights replaced with these for singletrack use and they were not that great, but are fine on the street. Actually looking to sell them to buy a Light & Motion ARC.

  • Well I need it more for streets than a proper outdoor countryside setting, although I hope my riding does go there at some point. Thats why i'm looking for standard AA powered lights, for the maximum runtime and safety reasons, plus i'm broke for the expensive ones ;+]

  • nice light
