  • I bought my vinyl copy in 1971 when I was 16 yrs old. It was pure bliss. I just thought this was the best music I had ever heard. For many years afterwards, I wondered why this album almost receded into obscurity and always missed the "best albums" lists. Nice to realize it's been receiving lately the recognition it deserves.

  • @raponte1955 and here we are 30 years later where a 16 year old Huy buys the album in 2011 :). when ram gets reissued this year, im sure some of the re-reviews will give it the praise it deserves. if they dont....................... after all these years.... well then screw them :).

  • have you heard the RAM mono album?

  • @reneperezz i have it on my ipod, but havent really gave it a "FULL " listen. when im in the mood, though sure it'll be a blast xD.

  • cant wait for the archives release

  • I'm sure sly and the family stones there is a riot going on got a bad review also. it's not about music journalists, it's about the music and the people. Ram is the quintessential mcartney

  • @HuysMusic Yes it's nice to know the new generation is rediscovering the great music instead of this JB (I don't even wanna mention his full name). LOL. It still hurts me how Rolling Stone dismissed this album as "irrelevant" 40 years ago. Long live "Ram"!!!

  • Yeah! Ram is a masterpiece! Best Solo beatle album! But smile away is awesome! I used to hate it, but then I listened to the whole track and the instruments and the song get awesome, amazing! ram 10/10!

  • No doubt...."Ram" is a masterpiece. It's down home, rocking, and mystical all in one. "Too Many People" has to be one of the greatest opening tracks on a rock album EVER. Paul is playing that incredible guitar solo in the middle and at the end. I've been listening to this album since 1981 and it just recently occurred to me that the solo sounds like Hendrix! It would make sense seeing as though Paul was friends with him and Jimi died in Sept. of 1970. I think Paul was paying tribute.

  • A good try but sometimes there just aren't the words.......this is a great album
