Programmer here.. not really concerned since you need programers to make games... But making the process easier is only a good thing.. I'd take a WYSIWYG tool anytime over having to write a bunch of code.. saves a lot of time. At last when it comes to the levels.. AI and gameplay.. programming only. :)

Programmers will still be needed they said the same thing when something like rpg maker came l. To effectively use rpg maker you needed to know some programming atleast. I mean you can create a level and let your char walk around once it grts more complex than that you need to bring in the geeks. The main problem with gaming costs is that gamers expect ever and ever more detailed large maps. This is where the money all goes in, in designing.
