I really like your analysis of this movie/entertainer. My mom was a big Michael Jackson fan so I've been exposed to his music since however long ago. As I've grown up though, I've found his songs to be mildly satisfying and occasionally motivating.

nerdfighter here. i just don't think about MJ, and i think a lot of the nerdighters don't. maybe this is because a majority of the nerdfighters are in their early twenties or younger. maybe to this newer generation MJ is only a creper with a weird face, as opposed to a performer.

I've always been a fan of MJ's bigger hits, and he seemed like a genuinely sweet guy to me, even if he had some problems.

The ironic thing is that he caught my attention only when all that shit was going on. There's this natural defense in me that wants to stand up for people who are getting picked on. And I strongly felt Jackson was being picked on by some bitter conservative guy. So I started to read into it and decided for myself: this guy wouldn't harm a fly. On the contrary, he was just too naive to be politically correct. If anything, he always stayed a kid himself. Which is weird, but harmless ;-)

well all i ever heard of him was bad publicity so i suppose that was my image of him when he died, since then theres been so much hype, im still a little confused by it.. :)
