  • @JC040696 is like with bmws and mercedes.. they are very expensive cause you are paying for the brand/name but you can a lot more bang for your buck if you choose a serious other brand. I got a a550 and I could not dream of getting the features I have for the money I paid on a nikon or canon.

  • @JC040696 it is mainly due to market dominance, because sony are kind of new to whole DSLR scene it is hard to get brand awareness next to the nikon and canon. so most people go with what they know.

  • Impressive. But what's this compared to Nikon. I see many photographers use Nikon and Canon but not Sony. Why? Cause maybe it's not that great? I don't know. But from what I heard, it's not bad. Im going with this because it's cheaper and the picture quality is almost the same.

  • AF/MF switch is for the motor built into the lens. Switch on the body is for older screw-driven autofocus lenses.

  • wonder why there's a AF/MF switch on the lens when there's already one on the camera body.

stupid question, but with HDR capability w/in the camera would remove the need for graduated ND filters?

  • Agreed... Great camera but misinformation/demonstration in the review. He didn't put it in speed priority mode which is how you get 7fps. And yes HDR mode only takes 2 images... but it works pretty well. Not as well as you can do later in Photoshop later but nice.

  • it does not sound like 7 frame per second...

sound like 3 or 4 frames per second...

he must have set it on continuous low or something

  • hey black man!!nextime take your time when you getting review 9 minutes minimun!!!we love SONY....

  • Agree on the "2 shots for HDR" comment. And I'm quite certain that it does NOT do 7fps on live view. More like 4fps, which is still impressive.
