New York Farm Bureau members rallied in Albany on March 1, 2010, telling legislators, "Don't Plow Us Under!" Farmers oppose the farmworker labor bill being considered by the legislature, which would force many farms out of business. They also called for relief from the rising costs of regulations, taxes and fees that make New York one of the most expensive places to do business and threaten their livlihoods. Farmers are also asking for improved Upstate infrastructure so they can get food to market and access high-speed internet connections.
