Sampling has opened up other musical ideas even if It requires zero talent to hit a record button while someone else's record is on and then calling it your own.

At the end of the day - unless you can play it yourself - you're not a musician. Just someone who has a cd player

Funny stuff seeing people dancing around a laptop - they need to got a real live gig to understand the feel of real live music coming from acoustic drum kits, stack amps and a kick ass PA.

1) It's legal for Girl Talk to remix music, as long as he doesn't sell the recording. Performing it is legal. If he records it, he owns the RECORDING but not the COPYRIGHT.
2) Irony: Girl Talk gets paid on his day job because of the existence of intellectual property laws.
2) Girl Talk builds his career by exploiting other's EQUITY, which was created by current copyright laws.
4) AIDS medicine could not be created without financial backing.
5) Without copyright we're heading towards Communism.

Do not speak to me about education. Your an idiot if you think cursing shows that I am inferior. This opinion is shared by many, including the author/narrator of this documentary. Free advice: don't leave a post that disagrees with the video itself and everyone leaving comments. Sets yourself up to be torn apart by "uneducated" ppl such as myself. Tard

@MrTuuc I did not say that you were inferior. I said that when people use profanity it is usually the result of a lack of vocabulary. I am guilty of it at times when I allow myself to become angry. If I feel I should comment on a video, then I believe that it is the right of everyone here on utoob to make a comment. As long as they refrain from the use of language which will cause offence to others. I apologise if the language I used caused offence to you. If you make a stand you take flak.

I saw this docco on TV in Australia last night I thought it was really well done I'd like to ad my own 2 cents

1. I do support remixing as it allows creative avenues but I don't agree with illegal music downloading
2. There really needs to be a Copyright reform act introduced as managment companies have too much control under current laws
3. Creative Commons should be law and works should hit CC much sooner than it does to hit public domain
4. Watch Brazil that nation is gonna set new standards

I have a similar point: I have no problem with that way of creating musica, it's just I don't like to hear it.
