How to Make a Music Video Like Pomplamoose, Sort Of

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE THANKS! Using only the software on your Mac or PC, this is how to cut videos together and sync them with a musical track, like Pomplamoose does with their video songs.

It's not as nice, since it doesn't come with the talent, skills, or software Pomplamoose is using, but it's a semi-decent workaround with basic tools almost anybody can get.

This video used Garageband '08, iMovie '08, but the process is just about the same on a PC using MovieMaker 2.6 or earlier - not MovieMaker Works, which is a straight up hunk o' garbage.

If you're blessed with a more modern Mac, iMovie will do split screen and beat detection *cue angels singing*, allowing you even cooler stuff. And I hear newer Garageband will yank the sound file out of a movie file, allowing you to sync the song, wowzers. But the same basic process works here too.

this looks like a huuuuge pain! especially, since i know i have to do 100 takes to get a good track it would be almost impossible to figure out which one was right for me. anyway, what video software should i download? ill dont mind shelling out a few bucks. any advice on how to keep track of which tracks actually were used in the final song? any advice on what kind of camera i should use?
