A minarchist environment is absolutely essential to Rand's philosophy, or it's not libertarian. If you attack this from the premise you just did, then debate is useless. I do appreciate that you managed to disagree without calling my sexual preferences into question, as is the tactic of most on youtube, and for that you have my respect. Thank you.

Youre in denial. He was the head of the federal reserve his liberterian ideas heavily influenced him our monetary policy and regulatory system. The system not being completely 'minarchist' doesnt matter.
Thats like saying Hitler wasnt really facist,because he used the name socialist and because Germany had some semblance of democracy meant he couldnt have been a dictator.

@ZhugeNaut not even close. While Greenspan was an admirer, he never had the opportunity to operate within a minarchist environment. We've never had that opportunity. Rand advocated minimalist government. The meltdown and all other economic failures of the last 80 years have been due to big government interference. Anyone else?
