Dr. Bart Ehrman (best-selling author of Misquoting Jesus), who is NOT a Christian, was interviewed about the historical Jesus and whether He existed or not. Reginald Finley (of the infidelguy.com fame) challenged Dr. Ehrman on this "Jesus Myth" theory. As the debate reveals, this mythicist view of Jesus is not taken seriously in New Testament and historical scholarly circles. This is a rare moment in the freethinking society where Dr. Ehrman actually agrees with Christians on the existence of the historical Jesus.
theres no evidence that jesus excisted outside of the bible or stories about him that were written long after he died

HA! This Reginald guy doesn't know much. He obviously knows nothing of historical and literary criticism. One does not need to be a Christian to see that the evidence for the historical Jesus is massive.If we are to doubt his existence based off his logic than we must doubt the existence of every person who lived before the photograph lol

@odinata
Hi there.
Could you not enlarge on your rejection of this comment?

I love this video because Reginald Finley is just ridiculous, he admits he isn't a historian and yet he argues against Bart when he gives his honest historical opinion on Jesus and Paul and James.

your book. how convenient. funny how no historian wrote about jesus while he lived. he was from nazareth. nazareth didnt exist at the time of his birth.

@albertlisty I'll check that out. You should watch Ehrman vs William Lane Craig on youtube. Ehrman does a good job of explaining what I'm getting at. Judging by some of your comments you have alot to learn.

@DDeCouto Check out this debate. youtu.be /MfDPLitAyd0 Gary Habermas, I think, does a great job at explaining what I'm getting at.
I think we could go round and round, but just like you, I don't have the time to put in the effort that you deserve.

@av4tar49 (part 3)
Sorry not to answer before, I have only just looked at this account. . There is more historical material about Jesus, and material which was written close to the events of his life, than any other historical person (some 24000 documents or fragments). If we say Jesus didn't exist then we couldn't honestly state that any person from history before the first or second Century existed.
It's nice to debate with you.
