@carrotkeith I can think of one that's comparable: Flipron. They're barely known anywhere but they rarely do live shows so they're not putting in 110% like XTC did. They've been around since 2003 and have released three albums, I think the best word to describe them is "Surreal". Their debut album is like a nightmare in a carnival.
