Lighting LED's from a plasma globe and an Aerial

I think that this does not use Capacitance.

Any Thoughts Welcome....

Enjoy

Paul..

  • Spatial Energy Coherence (SEC)??

  • No, but it may be on the same lines. I have not made a SEC.

I will when I get the time though..

    Paul..

  • At 0:43 Why don't you try to tuch it to see if your body would do an enought ground ?

  • If I remember correctly it light up...

    Paul..

  • The high voltage is radiant atmospheric, what some folks call capacitance. See this video for the atmospheric 32volts: v=QdjIifilrkk and for the 500volts, google search Plauson Collector ... All credits to Tesla...

  • Ill take a look thanks...

  • You are observing the effects of capacitive coupling. The coil has no influence on power transfer. You can duplicate this with a coin in place of the coil. Capacitive coupling to the atmosphere is occurring at the antenna also. The high frequency of the plasma driver is allowing energy transfer thru the glass, thru the leds - and into the air space via the antenna.

You can liken this to the effects of inertia. Shake an object. It resists movement. That's similar to what the Led is seeing.

  • try some tinfoil on top, just a little, and then touch it with a fingernail...

  • where did you get that coil? i had one but sadly it broke... i salvaged it from a vcr... could you tell me where that could be purchased?

  • what type of coil are you using? cheers.

  • try a flourecent tube instead, they light up well

  • Well, thats the whole point. Capacitance. If you were to switch your household mains off and run the plasma globe off another power source, you would find that the LEDs will not light up. The ground is the antenna, the energy radiation is strong enough just to light the LEDs up. You are a capacitor in essence. the coil is one electrode of the cap and you and/or the wire is the other end.

  • i love that he is watching star trek in the background... am i suprised?

    nahh

  • Super high voltage is probably just bleeding into the air as ions. Humidity will also affect this. This is why electrostatically charged items don't hold their charge indefinitely.

  • it grounds is out air is quite dense
