The introduction had hints of the melody...I loved that. Loved Eberly's clear voice; he sounded like himself, Crosby, and Cole all rolled into one. Loved O'Connell, and during her part I heard a change of key that worked so well! It was so smooth. And during the break---the band's solo, they double-timed it. Rich harmony, tight band with a full yet uncluttered sound. Loved the guitar playing rhythm. The Big Band sound was one of the best products to come out of the USA!

Sweet memories, life was a helluva lot better back then, America was a kinder nation, and the music, ahhhh. We had Helen , Jo, Bea, Dorothy, and a lot of other big band dolls. Sure do miss the great times we had then dancing and living to their music.

Jimmy Dorsey was born on this date in 1904. {Feb. 29th}
Sadly, Mr. Dorsey passed away on June 12th, 1957... May he R.I.P.

The name of my grandfather is in this song - when I hear it, it makes me miss both my grandfather and my dad - their names were Louis O. Philippe, Sr. (famous for makeup, etc. in that era) and Louis O. Philippe, Jr. Love the Big Band sounds!

When was the last time they made a song that can make you melt like this one.
