  • nice one mate your videos help me a lot

  • Pity you don't play much

Somebodt told me today that I play 1/2-triplets

and since 3 years I call them TRIOLS

TRIOLS might be the wrong word

    if you search ANKHATON+TRIOKS

you will find TRIPLETS , I guess

    In Blues and other Blues

    Try Obama Blues

    Hope you give yr take

    Are you a teacher ?

  • awesome, no one could help0 me to unserstand triplets, this helps alot! just in time for my theory exam thanks walt!

  • Heh, watched it as I was searching for an explanation of it for someone else... but the explanation is actually incorrect.

The structure of 'dotted eight, dotted eight, eight' as drawn at 2:20 is NOT the same as a triplet. The hard part is getting people to actually understand the difference between the 332/8 rythm and the pure triplet rythm.

At 5:58 it is actually sung correctly along with the claps, though.

  • great lesson again but i wish you would play what your saying so it gets fully lodged in the memory as when things are spoken its hard to really take it all in. when something is actually shown in real time its a good reference point to go back and refresh every now and then

  • Hmmm. I'm gonna have to watch this a few more times to FULLY understand it. But you do make sense. I just don't know "notes" well enough. Thank you!

  • Nice Video
