Bittersweet Waltz - Banjo

Thought I'd have a bash at 'Bittersweet Waltz' - I picked it up by ear from a version by Leon Redbone - so ''with all of its' glories and all of its' faults'' here it is - Hope you enjoy it!

Your absolutely right about the sound balance chaps! - I have taken the resonator off the banjo before but , unfortunately as it's such a cheap instrument, the flange then becomes like a 'leg-severing' sawblade!! - I'm looking for a reasonably priced openback at the moment. Also I should have sung louder! - Anyway thankyou both for the feedback, as always much appreciated - All the best - Andy

I have the same problem with recording. Banjo's such a great instrument to sing with, but always a challenge to get balanced in recording. I've tried singing to the camera w banjo off to the side - not the best for posture. Regardless your voice is still great.

It lovely Andy but you need to get the sound sorted. The banjo drowns your voice. The mike needs to be nearer your voice rather than the banjo (I'd suggest taking the resonator off).
