Assessment

The assessment provided in the SRA Reading Lab gives teachers a true picture of what their students have mastered. In the Student Record Book, students keep track of their own work by entering their correct scores and percentages, and can see their progress on their Power Builder Progress Chart.
These Student Record Books, maintained by the student, are invaluable guides to the diagnosis of his or her reading difficulties, progress, and long-range educational potential. They can be used in parent conferences, in student guidance, and in curriculum improvement by analyzing the functional reading levels and revising as needed to individualize learning opportunities. When passed on to the student's new teachers for the next school year, they provide a complete record of how well the student did in each part of the program.
