How do you know when using an air da that you have removed enough clear coat. I have wet sanded by hand and I can feel when I have the defect removed. I never have tried a da I don't want to go through the clear. I sanded factory clear a few times and there is always that chance of going through it. I usually stay with mirka abralon sanding paper. I usual use 2000, 3000 and then 4000. I do have some 6000 and 8000 grit too,.

Was that a repaint? Or factory paint?

@waxworkz It was a nasty repaint with a nasty detail job done to it since. I think we saved her.

I used Meguiars products #105 with W5000 wool pad. I sanded with 1200 grit followed by 2000.
