I wrote this song for my brother James about 7 years ago. I think it's inherant in all teenagers to ponder life's worth at some point and this song is sort of an homage to those (thankfully) fleeting thoughts my brother had at the time.
James sat alone at the top of the building
Counting all the people on the street passing by
Then he multiplied them all by the tears falling down from his eyes
And his legs dangle down to the beat of the crowd
Yeah, it's getting so loud that's bleeding from the sound of it all
To whom it may concern
I can't take the world anymore
To whom it may concern
It's over, It's over
Oh, and the people on the street had their heads to the sky
Looking up at James on the ledge of his mind
And they just don't get it at all
No, they just don't get it at all
To whom it may concern
I can't take the world anymore
To whom it may concern
It's over, It's over
It's over It's over
James sat alone at the top of the building
James sat alone at the top of the building
James sat alone at the top of the building
It's over
To whom it may concern
I can't take the world anymore
To whom it may concern
It's over, It's over
It's over, It's over
It's over, It's over
It's over
James sat alone at the top of the building
Counting all the people on the street passing by
Then he multiplied them all by the tears falling down from his eyes
And his legs dangle down to the beat of the crowd
Yeah, it's getting so loud that's bleeding from the sound of it all
