In a perfect world, we would all have the resources to tide us over in times of trouble. But for many hard-working people, one unforeseen expense can make the difference between remaining self-reliant and a lifetime of hardship. SOS Pittsburgh bridges the gap for individuals and families facing crises who have no place else to turn, providing the intensive case management and emergency aid needed to overcome seemingly insurmountable circumstances and move on with their lives. The program was established in 2005 with the help of Edgar and Sandy Snyder.
Kudos to JFCSPgh, the Snyder Family, and the SOS advisory committee for extending a critical lifeline to Pittsburgers in need.
