This Westie is certainly a vocal one. Here he is responding to the fact that my wife just left the house to run an errand a few minutes ago and he is upset.

  • I have one to her name is Skipper and she makes the same noises like the little crying noises. How old is your dog?

  • @SharkKid42 Newman is now nearly 7 years old but was five when I made this video. They sure do make some funny sounds with their voices!

  • haha my westie lola is like this when my mum goes out.. she whines for ages then will finally snuggle up with me for some comfort - but ohh no once mum's back she deserts me and runs up to mum! I know where i stand lol!

  • @iwearscarves Oh yes...I, too, am second fiddle to mommy. Ditto everything you said!

  • I had a Westie. That noise at 0:17 reminds me of a noise he used to make when he was unhappy. Sort of crying under his breath. Self pity.

Dead 25 years & I still miss him!

  • @YesLorenzo Yep...that is what he was...unhappy! I have no doubt you still miss yours after all this time These Westies are AMAZING. Thanks for stoppin' by.

  • I am westie too

  • We have a playroom, and every time mum or dad goes tess(our cairn terrier)jumps on my seat and stares out the window!

  • hahaha

  • OMG, my Westie do the same!! :-)

  • When Newman goes into a high-pitch tone, he almost sounds like a wolf.

This is always the case when someone in the family steps out for a few minutes or more and they act so different because that person isn't at home to play with them. My dog will sit at the window and wait until either Mommy or Daddy returns.

  • My Westie does exactly what he does (except the howling LOL) xD
