Sherrice Iverson - 1989-1997

Sherrice Iverson was a 7 year old whose life was taken in a senseless murder in 1997 in a casino. The thief who stole her life and innocence was to be tried on Court TV but a plea bargin netted him prison instead. The lesson here is that we MUST watch over our children with vigilence. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..." (John 10:10). Sherrice, we love you and will see you again. Love forever - KWH

@yulio3000 - This was Sherrice's mother making that statement to Strohmeyer at the end of his murder trial. I think she was addressing the fact that he got a life sentence instead of a death sentence. - KWH

I will never forget her smile! I met her months before she died. Her and her brother. She was really friendly and just wanted to play and have a good time. For a adult man to take advantage of her innocense is just a crying shame. I don't know why the Lord has placed her on my heart today, but I am praying for her family today. It's sad that when I heard the news those years ago I had a feeling it was her. It hurts that is was her. I wish I could've been there to stop it.

I originally downloaded the video of her running around the casino but can't find it now ..... it was pretty hard to watch knowing that in a few more minutes that she would be murdered ... KWH

I have been employed at the new mall connected to the casino where Sherrice Iverson was murdered. There has not been a day that goes by when arriving at work that I do not think about Sherrice or remember her smiling angel face. My daughter was 6 yrs old at the time of Sherrice's murder. This crime shook me to the core, and continues to do so daily. I will never forget the name SHERRICE IVERSON as long as I live. The sadness I feel for Sherrice, her mother & brother is unmeasurable.

I remeber this story this little girl was so pretty its hard to be.that someone could take the live of a child i have 2 kids and i keep my eye on them where ever we go i wish they did the same....i hope the guy that did this burns in hell 4 what he did HOW COULD HE DO THIS i dont understand how he could look at her and then take her life im crying right now this is crazy cause their is nothing we could do to bring her back

I am hurt for this incident. I was fourteen when this happened. I remember because my mom told me that we are cousins...I was young when it happened but to know that someone who was apart of you is gone because of someone's sensless act is disturbing. God has ALL POWER...

i cant beleive this i was there the same day the same time i was actually playing with this little beautiful child i was about three or four but she played with me!!! my mother told me of the story and she sed that it could have been me if she never got a call from my dad and we had to leave !! im thankful it wasn't me but im really sad that it was Sherrice that had to be taken from her mother...sypathy to the mother!!!WHY DO THE WOMEN HAVE TO SUFFER THE MOST?
