  • I remember playing this on the family stereo one afternoon in the 70's and my Mum commenting that it was a 'nice tune'.....

  • @drumgit : it is, indeed :)

  • I was going to see Fred in the late 70s/early 80s when he came to NYC, and to this day cannot begin to forgive him for giving up music that can bring you to tears (which, for me, this does) in favor of his scritch-scratch bullshit he's done the last 30 years. Sure, it's important to move on musically, but not if it means giving up so pure expression of soul as this for an obtuse "avant garde" waste of time of all but 12 of the earth's 6 billion inhabitants. Play songs again, motherfucker!

  • I partially agree with you. But try anyway to listen to Frith's "Clearing", which prooves that you can have both soul and scritch-scratch avant-garde.

  • Superb! A great antidote after listening to the brain-dead, ignorant conservative Repulican corporate zombies who fight against their own interests. "We'll kill that nigger if he tries to give us health care!"

    America is stupid. Fucking stupid!

  • Christ this is the best thing I've seen for ages - Henry Cow , we salute you !

  • @unclejunglebass I hear ya. It took me 20 years to finally be able to appreciate her singing.

  • Totally brilliant in all departments. I saw Henry Cow - they were magnificent. fabulous musicians.

  • @drumgit You just brought back some memories for me as well. I REALLY want a time machine.

  • In this particular song... unclejunglebass, I agree with you. Not because of the vocal but the lyrics however. They always distract me from enjoying the song.
