Memories of The Birchmere in the late 70s and early 80s and John's amazing skills - with Mike on Dobro and John Starling/Phil Rosenthal on guitar/lead vocals and the ever present Ben on banjo and Tom on bass - Man! Those were the days!
The strength to bend mandolin strings like that and not tear your fingernails from the quick is incredible! He was the Man when it came to playing the mandolin. We miss him!
Also, nice finger-style guitar at the end of this piece!
Really, Duffy was a bit of a hacker.. But he could sure give that mando the buisness. He was one of a kind and I sure do miss him.

Miss the "pro of mandolin" and his funny jokes! I just think the angels in Heaven and all of us still here are blessed by this great person.
