The reason that Supra was even tied with that redneck dream car is because at the time it was manufactured there was a gentleman's agreement in Japan that prevented it from having large horsepower stock. That particular supra was not tuned to the engines full capability. That agreement no longer exists. My theory is backed up by the 2011 GT-R. The stock 2011 V8 Supersport Camaro has neither the 0-60 or top speed that the "jap junk" GT-R has. Go kill yourself ignorant.

@TheBopop Actually, that's not entirely true. It depends on how the engine is set up. You can have a V12 make as much exhaust gas as a 2 cylinder. An engine is like an air pump. If you set it up so that it'll suck in a lot of air, it will have more exhaust gas too. Now this engine could be anything. Sure a bigger engine theoretically draws in more air, but in practice, it really comes down to how it was set up. You prolly seen how Evos shoot out a ton of exhaust gas when they hit rev limiter.

@fearthemaxima Sounds like it is spooling just fine. He needs better internals, more fuel injected and more boost to match the Camaro. It's simple as that. Supra has forged internals and the Camaro is a torque monster. You can't expect a Maxima to match them with what came with from the factory.

@crowdcontrol792 thank you. i love it when people think there is no such thing as turbo lag. its driven off exhaust??? more exhaust gas out the faster it spools. WHat makes more exhaust gas a iline 6 or a V8.......? lol some people never learn.

un less that maxi was the 5.5 gen then i can see why it lost nasty

5.5 have the same engine as the g35 n 350z

5th gen has the one b4 but still pulls very strong

ima swap a 5th gen in my i30t or maybe later than that the vq35 instead
