  • great quality, the hyper mode you're referring to is called the Gun-Howitzer Mode, on the back of your box it says it in small print next to the picture in that mode. Overall the quality is great but I had trouble attaching the 165MM Demolition Gun to his shoulder, I had to use liquid nails to keep the small plastic peg in. Great review btw.

  • actually that name is for the two guns together...i think, from what people have said, the hyper mode is called the lambda drive hyper mode?? something like that

  • reall really really got me down to pick this up.

I'll need to save up, but i'm definitely picking this up and checking out the anime.

Do you have any macross kits?

i say watch macross frontier. I didn't think i'd like it, but it was amazingg.

  • revoltech is actually re-releasing this figure so you might want to wait for that...ive seen MF and i loved it its just that the kits cost as much as a friggin MG

  • what scale were you looking at?

yeah, they're ridiculously expensive, and i'm not too fond of the 100 line they have out, they're about as big as a 1/144 scale gundam, which I usually try to stay away from.

I think the 1/72 scale sell for around 70 bucks plus shipping, pretty much the cost of more expensive master grades like sinanju, unicorn, or something.

I hope one day you do get a review though :D

  • same here =p i was looking forward to the ones specifically from macross frontier just because im really into the newer sleeker designs...as a matter of fact i might even get a macross series of review going later on =)

  • @zversus the hyper mode is the lambda driver. Know this comment is late but I just found out about this amazing figure and am trying to decide whether to buy it. Big FMP fan so great review lol

  • Does this thing come with detailed instructions on how to change his part ?

  • @austix1997 far as i know the manga hasn't gotten that far yet. The light novel series is complete, however, and you're pretty much correct.

I'm still disappointed they skipped over DVMC in the manga series. That was my favorite of the novels...

  • @austix1997 you're correct on both counts. Agent Wraith recovered what was left of the Arbalest - including the AI system named Al (as in Gore or Capone) - after being handed its ass by the Belial at the end of COMO. they used it to finish assembling the Laevatein.

as for this fig, good thing I held back on buying this...because the Robot Damashii version is coming out in April.

  • I don't mean to spoil things but in one of the manga Arbalest is destroyed (or damaged i forget) and they salvage it into Laevitein... i think

  • Would hurt the next time you pick up the webcam to see how they deploy those components :)

  • @zversus Hi. I've done a search and it seems they're only changing the packaging a bit.

  • Hyper mode = Lambda driver activation + demolition gun

  • This is a very interesting figure. If I can find one, I may have to pick it up. I like the Full Metal Panic mecha designs and the Laevatein seems to be one of the more flashy looking Arm Slaves.

  • yeah! me too
