Yeah I know that. I was testing out importing project files and messing them around. When I got this it was my first time experiencing after effects so I didn't know very much. Now I do.

I was saving money for a mac for 3 years but when i heard how great after effects is i had to buy it.

Effects Lab isnt hard at all. It is so easy, thats why i love it. Its got 'proffesional amateur' written all over it lol. I got After Affects. insanely hard to use, but not top of the range.

No all the adobe programs work together, After Effects and Premiere.. But you can use more there all compatiable with eachother espically since im getting the CS4 mastuer suite PHotoshop CS4 can paint in 3D

after effects is not a editing software it is a digital effects software. And no it is not top of the line. Neither is Vegas, pinnacle studios 12 or windows MM. Your going to want Final Cut Pro or Avid Liquid Pro for state of the art, pro, editing.

And i have a mac personally i like my XPS better ppl say the mac is better because its faster and everything. Well its only faster cause macs cant even dl half the things a pc can

After effects is only for top of the line makers

it goes like this 1 being the easiest 5 being the hardest

1: Windows MM

2: Studio 12

3: Vegas

4: Fx Lab

5: After Effects

After Effects is like Photoshop b/c their both Adobe. After Effects is all Key frames and layers since the pinnacle only has one extra layering After effects is much harder. Just watch some after effects tutorial.

And by the way Film alot of ppl who use After Effects use 3D Max too for animations.
