The Grand Pier is in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, England. The pier is privately-owned and is one of three piers in the town It is supported by 600 iron piles, and is 400 metres (1,300 ft) long. It has been damaged by fire on two occasions in 1930 and 2008.
Following the latter fire, which completely destroyed the pavilion, the pier was rebuilt and reopened on 23 October 2010.
I thought I would just pop down and do a walk around video, most of the rides were closed. So I will go back in the summer and try again.Looks very impressive can't wait to try some of the rides.

  • Its all new and shiny but I dunno it kind of feels empty to me. I'm not talking about the lack of people but meh..I should go see for myself, thanx for uploading this

  • @rakshasdragon This was filmed in Dec,very cold and windy and only a few people about. But it has a tiled floor so you cant see through the wooden planks like it was.No windows so it doesn't feel like a pier.

  • i know you want to make this video so people can see what the pier is like , but couldn't you do it a bit slower

  • @The224356 11 minutes is too fast ? Or did you only watch the first 35 seconds ?
