fm wiki - Bamboozled is a 2000 satirical film written and directed by Spike Lee about a modern televised minstrel show featuring black actors donning blackface makeup and the violent fall-out from the show's success. The word bamboozled means "taken in by elaborate methods of deceit; hoodwinked." The film was given a limited release by New Line Cinema during the fall of 2000, and was released on DVD the following year.

Bamboozled is perhaps Lee's most important work, for showing the condemnation of Blacks thro 'normal' social-cultural 'American' activities meant to sideline the race into oblivion. The historical accuracy in this film embarrasses many people who would like to deny how ugly the campaign to dehumanise Blacks, so as to 'puppetize' them, had been. Dolls and film footage from the time is testament to this fact. Notice only few commentators responded to clips of the film. Others were ashamed.

1. Adulthood and Kidulthood, ( sorry Noel Clarke, U are a talented director but reinforcing stereotypes won't get U far ).

Spike does it again he goes straight for the juggler vein, and takes no prisoners. He forces African Americans to take a closer look at them selves as always and at the same time makes the rest of americas demographics to do the same. Prejudicial views and hypocrisy are not only a reality in the United States, but in the world. Spike understands the race(prejudice) one all to well. WAKE UP BLACK FOLK!!!!!
