@mongo5888 I correct myself. The article is called "Recycled Power" and is in the June 2008 issue of Popular Hot Rodding. 394 H.P. @ 6,300 and 364 TQ @ 5,000 RPM's. Eat it 305 haters.

NICE MOTOR! You know, people underestimate 305 Chevy's. They call them boat anchors, lethargic, etc. There was a Hot Rod Mag article a year or so ago where a guy took a 305 and with some......unique work he did in his garage he made it dyno 394 horses. Not bad for a "boat anchor".................

@DemoFly As do I. Any idiot can build a 350. Most people don't mess with 305's because they don't want to put any effort and time into them. I would rather have something a little different.

I have a 305 in my truck, 386,000 miles on it, and all pure hell. but its a chevy, itll never stop runnin.
