Would it be to our advantage to try moving forward or back or side to side while practicing this drill?

Absolutely, when you are comfortable with the drill always add movement or only one hand anything to make it more difficult.

@entropy762 I always close the dust cover to help eliminate dirt getting in the bolt area. It is just a good habit to have.

Hi what pistol do you use and why? I use a glock 19 (personal) and m9(issued) at work. I looked at a FNx9 today. I feel like my groupings with the g19 is not as tight since its a lighter gun and recoils more than other pistols.

learning Good habit's is so much better than Unlearning Bad habits and then trying to Learn Good habit's.. when i went into the Marines i was 18 and my Primary Marksmanship instructor asked us who has shot rifles b4? and a few hand's went up... then he looked at my D.I. and said this is a good platoon. because most of your recruits don't have anything to hold them up from learning what we're gonna teach them. and our platoon ended up taking the rifle range trophy.

i spoke with Travis Haley at this last "SHOT SHOW" in Las Vegas and i asked him that same question.. and it seems that in the tactical community that California has a limited Market for training. due to our ridiculous Law's however,

Travis did say that he trains different L.E. students in California from tim to time. my suggestion is to jim on to VIKINGTACTICSCOM and check their calendar. it should show dates and events. most of the good tactics mobile training teams. do this.

this stuff is like your a martial art's student and you are getting fundamentals from a 5th degree black belt who has a life time of experience and is willing to impart his knowledge to you for free. just because he's generous and filled with Integrity.

Really appreciate these types of videos. I wish to get more into proper (and safe) tactical shooting but my access to formal training is limited. The drills and techniques you demonstrate are great and I am grateful for them, thank you.
