actually if you guys have read the interviews with james guthry and more, they say that all the music was put together by dave and rick. rogers demos for the wall sounded like shit. roger needed dave to create the music we all love for the wall. roger brought to the table the ideas, dave perfected them. together they created the wall.

Wright had more impact than Waters? Who wrote 95% of music of the wall? Who wrote 90% of the lyrics in all albums? Gilmour is a great guitarist, but Pink Floyd without Waters arent P.F. Roger Waters without Gilmour aint Pink Floyd either.

@RupertDCD27 Roger can't even sing most of the Pink Floyd songs dude. Listen to him trying to sing Wish You Were Here and you wanna strangle yourself. A lot of mouth and zero music.

@theslapdealers Yeah, cause Roger's solo stuff is fantastic, right. Gilmour kept Floyd going for another 15 years, and put out several outstanding albums, and a fantastic solo album. Coming back to life, High Hopes, On an Island, Then I close my eyes, Learning to Fly, etc etc etc. Gilmour is Floyd. Richard Wright had more impact than Waters did.

Gilmour is the voice and guitar of the Floyd, but Waters is the brain.

BringtheKY's If you are going to comment on Floyd you might want to have a more open opinion on the subject. No one would know who Pink floyd was without Syd Barrett. Yes you are correct Roger Waters wrote the bulk of the lyric's but he did not write most of the music. Without the music it is just words, they were a team. David Gilmour sang almost every huge hit they had. Gilmour created all the bad ass solos. Without Gilmour and Waters it wouldn't sound like Floyd.
