Now if I could get my Slant Six to sound like that

I was there for many of the Mopar at E-town events, including this one. I was just a spectator for 1988, but I ran my 70 Duster at the 1989 show, and my 72 Demon at the 1991 show. I sure do miss those cars & those days too.

I am 65 now,had a 68 formula-s cuda,340. Just to much fun. Those days are now gone. Replaced with computers. Is good to see the old days again.

i got sox & martins autographs :)

That they were too fast to compete...

Sad that everytime mopar won a big event, they got 100lbs thrown on they're car cause of all the chevy guys pulling strings in the NHRA. I love MOPAR and like chevy. But that was a little unacceptable and a complement to mopar

WHO WON?

It wasn't about who won. it was about the nostalgia of the two old race cars being out on the track together.

1989 or not, this is cool as heck! I used to own a '67 Formula 'S' Barracuda that was a Sox & Martin replica (12.0's in street trim on motor) and EVERY cop in town knew that car. One day I got 3 tickets for simply cruising. The citations were for "altered exhaust" because it was easy to see the fender well Hooker headers that virtually any A-Body Mopar used with a big block engine. Great posts, OneBadSuperbird! Thanks for the memories.
