The Morgan School Building Committee told the Clinton Boards of Finance and Selectmen that the Morgan School has been spending $1 million a year in capital improvements that a New Morgan School would eliminate and that alone will pay the interest on bonds. The town has spent no where near that number. The number was a totally made up and the committee no acknowledges it has no basis.
The committee has suppressed information and obfuscated about many hidden costs including replacing a maintenance facility, pre-referendum charges, widening the road at the new site, reinforcing or replacing the bridge linking two parts of the campus bifurcated by the Indian River. What else are they not telling the voters?
