@morky14 Well of course not all of Meigs County is like Deliverance (which would explain the seemingly contradictory comments above, and also explain why I, myself, and hopefully YOU are not Deliverance like). However, I wouldn't say that Pomeroy is "the least backwater place you can get." It is Infested with backwater inhabitance, in comparison to most anywhere in the US.

you sound like youre arguing with yourself. one minute you say meigs isnt like deliverance, the next that it is. And btw, i live in pomeroy, and i hear bluegrass all the time. if there was anywhere in the county you wouldnt hear it, it would be pomeroy, thats the least backwater you can get.

Dueling banjos ring a bell? You probably hear bluegrass in Meigs County because a some of Meigs County is a lot like Deliverance... I've seen it! There's a bit of inbreeding going on around there.

since when does bluegrass = deliverance? I tend to think of raping ned beatty, and inbreds when i think of deliverance. And I hear a lot of bluegrass in meigs country

Why on earth did you guys make this seem like some backwoods town with the little bluegrass song overlapping the scenes, it's nothing like that here. Yeah we are extremely behind the rest of the world in our county but it isn't Deliverance!
