1964/65 New York's World's Fair / Ford Motor Company Pavilion. Almost everyone knows that Ford introduced our favorite car to the World in New York at the World's Fair. Come to the Wonder Rotunda and take a ride on Walt Disney's Magic Skyway at the Ford Motor Company Pavilion. A journey of imagination across time and space, housed in the Fair's largest pavilion that's the size of nearly three football fields!

  • Went to this fair in 1964. I was 7. This video is so well done. Still love the Mustang.

  • Thanks. It is wonderful and a great job! The Ford Pavilion has a place in my heart forever, and I was only 5 years old then. I remember it well.

  • So much work went into creating the Worlds Fair. It's too bad it only ran for 2 years.

  • WOW!!!

Im Fascinated to Learn About the Worlds Fair.

I Like all The Pictures Featured here.

    Their Really Wonderful.

It's too bad I wasn't Around to see All This.

I was born til a Decade Later.

But watching These Beautiful Pictures Makes it Come Alive!

  • I remember the New York World's Fair.

Back in 1965, it was an amazing thing.

  • I was there, I remember getting in Ford convertibles to go through the exhibit, my family of five was waiting, then a Mustang came down the line, I was excited, (I was 9 years old), but we didn't fit, a single man got in, sat in the back seat, pushed the front seat down, put his legs up on it. I thought he was the coolest man in the world. (Guess I still do!), anyways we waited for a Galaxie, a memory still with me in 2011, I wonder who that man was?

  • Excellent video and choice of music! I remember this as if it were yesterday. I remember sitting in one of the cars hearing Disney's voice come through the radio, which startled the hell out of me, lol. I'll always have fond memories of the fair in general. Thanks for posting this!

  • Great vid was only 6 but I remember the Ford ride with my Dad it was great brings back many memories, my brother missed it as he and my mom went to go ride the Uniroyal tire for a second time now he can see what he missed, many thanks for posting

  • I've waited 46 years to see the ford pavillion thanks! What a dream. Too bad my parents were exhausted by the GM exhibit and couldn't wait in te enormous lines.

The fair was a real magical place that still in my memory.

  • One other observation....

You can sure see a lot of the "space age" design and Walt Disney's influence in so much of the Ford Pavilion, especially the interior shots with the water around the vehicles and the escalator(?) going up into the wall. The shape of the entry holes in the walls makes the entire thing seem so much bigger and longer than they were.

It immerses the visitor in the experience.

Elements like this could be seen as late as the 80's and 90's in EPCOT.
