With as much adult supervision as those kids get, and with the type of role models they have, I wouldn't doubt the kids did it at all!!

oh and there was also the message she left on ryans answering machine where she is talking and you hear a gunshot and emmas scream from afar. that could have been zack's gunshot, but still.

actually, annie COULD have done it, according to spoilers. don't read this if you dont like spoilers, but they reveal that some things that emma remembers are going to make annie look pretty guilty, and that annie may not remember something important (perhaps KILLING STUART) about the murder.
however, pratt is an absolute idiot if he thinks he can pull this off and make annie the murderer. melissa considered quitting because she wanted goody annie back, with an edge.

Annie could not have possibly done it because she was in the attic with Adam when the shots were fired. And if she saved Adam she knew that the person was Stuart and she would not kill Stuart.

I don't think she did. Pratt is trying to point the finger at so many people on purpose. I think maybe one of the kids got hold of the gun and did it. Maybe Little A or Emma.
