This video is an introduction to the Rosetta Stone programs which I have installed on my computer.

The Rosetta Stone programs are basic, easy, and slowly become more difficult. It will take you a long time go go from Level 1, Lesson 1 Core Lesson all the way to the end of Level 3.

Your goals should be realistic with Rosetta Stone. You will not learn to write well in the foreign language you study.

You will learn how to speak the language in different tenses: past, imperfect, subjunctive, future, future conditional. You will learn idioms. You will learn how to properly pronounce words. You will also expand your own vocabulary in your own native language.

Rosetta Stone will not be able to test you on your conversational abilities. At some levels, you will have to go beyond Rosetta Stone. But this is true for any language learning material you use. There is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER a single language learning program, software, or course that will make you fluent. This is one tool. You should rely upon at least three or more tools to learn the language.

Please consult my blog about how to become a polyglot.

  • Have you tried LingQ?

  • @LearningFrenchNow

I am not sure. Is it a website or a program?

  • Good thing teaching people to be a Polyglot, it's better to be a Polyglot than a Kaffir any day.

  • @runner784

I am proud of being a Kaffir. It would suck being a Quran thumping Muzzie. Or a Bible thumping Christian.

  • Great to see you making progress overall. From what I can see , Rosseta stone does have some similearities with language learning site Live Mocha maybe I should link it too you :)

    All love from me Jasmine

  • @Eopyk

Live Mocha? I will definitely check it out. I am going to plan a few more videos.

  • @NaomiChambers A website: LingQ(dot)com. LingQ was founded by Steve Kaufmann. It has the ability to count known words, indicate which words in a text are known and unknown, and many other unique features.

  • @dcruze

Really? I would like to see that. I think I am going to do a quick search.

  • The BBC website has a few language courses that they offer for free, I tried the French one a bit...

  • @beensolongg

I sent you a friend invite. If you send me an e-mail, tell me a little about yourself. I will show you how to get the software.
