A 3D render based on the distance value from the 2D M set (a pseudo 3D fractal), and hence not a 3D slice of a 4D fractal.

The black freckle/noise that appears during the animation is due to a low itetarion value of the fractal.

As usual I'm to lasy to add code for aliasing or other stuff to make it appear nicer. XD

  • @sebulbaslovechild You are welcome. And I'm glad that you learned something from this. :D

  • @biggestpetshopfan Thanks. :D

  • Thanks for this. The height-mapping falloff from the included elements of the set really helps me understand how these things are colored (I knew the mathematical reason, I just couldn't picture it until now).

  • awesome
