IBM Virtual Desktop Demonstration

Tim Shortley, Smart Business Channel Enablement Manager at IBM, demonstrates the IBM Virtual Desktop for Smart Business.

Integrated online and off-line capabilities enable companies to give their employees desktop access from anywhere. Tim demonstrates how a user can save a document in a documents folder, and access the same document from a USB stick. This gives users full ability and range on whatever devices they use.

Tim also demonstrates how a user can boot from a USB hard drive or stick instantaneously and have immediate access to the virtual desktop. Applications like e-mail can then be accessed and documents can be synchronized between a local machine and the virtual desktop in the cloud.
