I have a Harley and a Kawasaki (ninja 900).Different bikes for different moods! My Kawa has 110.000 km on...and there was NEVER a problem!EVER!! And the motor is OFTEN in the red area!!!On the other hand my Harley (1600 twincam) is like a newborn child...OFTEN CHECK: cam chain system, lifters, shift drums, crankshafts and the list goes on and on and on!!!!!! Not to mention the so cold QUALITY CHROME and other metal...If you dare leave it unwashed for some time, without all these protective cremes,,,

Something about owning a harley their sound is second too none i like my Electra glide runs good but jap bikes are built more for speed their cheper looking bike ware a hd has a more bold look more quality look like they put more steel in them.thier just an all around better looking bike i had a 900 kawasaki elminator that give more problems than my hd and i have had the hd longer with no problems knock on wood lol.to one each teir own i guess.

@MrSkeletoncrew Biker boy? Well your facts are wrong. Harley is the most reliable bike out there. Kawaskis werent made for reliability they were made for speed. And a harley is made for power and strength. Check your facts your wrong. And I'm not a biker boy I havent drove one In ten years think before you talk.

@mark12130 Ok biker boy, enough of your BS. You and I and every other Harley owner will tell you that we ride shit. I have two bikes. A softail and a kawaski 1500 classic. I hate the Harley for two things. VERY UNRELIABLE and gutless. I keep it because I like the way it looks. My kawaski has 4 times the miles and never let me down once. Keep your bullshit for the newbies pal, because your talking stupid.

You guys crack me up! A bunch of you can't spell as well as a 10 year old, and then you try to argue your points as if tomorrow hinges on your answer! I own a '10 Street Glide now and really like it, but the performance is not even in the neighborhood of my previous '07 Suzuki M109R. Buy what you like and ride what you buy, and don't give yourself stroke over what everyone else is doing!!

Harley-Davidson reliability sucks and there loud and most of them are slow and looked the same for 100 years.

I like the look of the Vaquero better but the street glide is nicer looking then both. It would have been nice to see them add the stratoliner deluxe to this comparison as well.
@1irishbiker Yeah but the metric will still have it's original parts and the "Halrey-Daridson" will be on it's 4th engine, it's 3rd tranny, it's 4th clutch, it's 8th brake job, it's 7th wheel bearing job, ect....lets add it up! After finding out just how much of the H-D motorcycle is actually made in Asia, I now consider it to be a "Metric" bike also, Lol!

As far as resale value goes, thats the last thing I consider when buying a motorcycle if you really bought what you really liked, you would never get rid of it
