When Mountains Tremble - US Military cut

This is an excerpt from the 1984 documentary When the Mountains Tremble. This excerpt shows the involvement of the US military in the Guatemala in the 1980s. This amazing documentary tells the tale of a war that was barely reported in the media, yet affected a shockingly large amount of people. The film centers around Rigoberta Menchu, an Indian woman who took on the might of the Guatemalan military. As they decimated a helpless Mayan population, they didn't bank on the strength and will power of the inspiring Menchu, but fortunately documentary filmmakers Pamela Yates and Newton Thomas Siegel were present to capture her tale.
