I was inspired by Brad and Jeff when I was in high school. I suppose my sound is a bit influenced by them. See if you agree.

@sprintbass A lot depends on the pickups and the amount of gain your using! Most players use humbuckers for this kind of sustain whether in Les Paul or Strat, Les pauls inherintly have a darker sound and more "natural' sustain Floyd Rose equipped bolt on neck guitars tend to be brighter in tone!Hope that Helps!

guitar techs out there question..when ppl think sustain they think les paul because its a tail piece screwed into a block of mahagony..and when you have a floyd you loose alot of that sustain because of the parts between where the strings lay in saddles through the floyd mech and then how the sustain gets down...can some one explain this to me? ive always heard you dont get the sustain you do on a paul cos of the tail piece..and that strats because of the mech its self cant get as much sustain?

@TNMinuteMan .... I knew it was a fender..cause I have one with a black neck...after a bit of research I found that I stand to be corrected !!!! thanks...I didn't know about the custom switches and originals floyd's !!! Peace.

@RasputinsVision Dude he put that guitar together man. The body is like a '62 strat that he painted red and the neck he actually painted black himself. Cool little fun fact: that guitar has Floyd #3 on it! The third floyd rose ever made, back before they had fine tuners on 'em.

He's the undesputed whammy king and a totally underrated guitarist. People that were around in the 80's know. Even Zakk Wylde credits him as the Floyd Rose supreme super pimp.
