Only me, afunkydiva and Mzdiva whatever has given you sound advice. If you want to stay in that apt. then tell you landlord that it's HIS responsibility to go back and forth to the city office. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY RENT until the housing judge orders you to. If he puts you out or changes the locks, call the police.....that's illegal! Trust ME! Like MzDiva said siee if your city's housing court has an escrot for you to put your rent in, in the meantime.
