"Old Settlers" is a folk song commemorating the settlement of Mooresville, Indiana since its founding in 1824. Generations of families have come to this town to realize their dreams, just as old settlers did in pioneer days. "Old Settlers" was written in late 2009 as a poem with a simple melody line. The song was revised in July, 2010 to include four musical voices (vocalist, acoustic guitar, banjo, and mandolin). The music (copyright [c] 2010) was composed and arranged by Daniel E. Buckley; lyrics by Janet E. Buckley & William R. Buckley. Used by permission.
