The mood at Crown & Anchor British Pub Wednesday morning was somber for U.S. fans with only three minutes until certain elimination from the World Cup. But in the first minute of injury overtime, Landon Donovan scored a history-making goal that advances the U.S. to the second round with a 1-0 win over Algeria. The winning goal gave the U.S. first place in Group C, having scored one more goal in total than England. This is the first time the U.S. has won a group since 1930. Las Vegas Sun reporter Katharine Euphrat caught the moment of celebration at Crown & Anchor.

  • England is going to lose to Germany.

  • Some people seem to forget how closely related our two countries are. Good luck to both teams in the next round!

  • @buddyrow64 they dont like us what so ever

  • thank you england for liking us =) we appreciate it

  • England fans were celebrating the final whistle while USA scored at the same time so both combined to cheer for each other. USK ( United States Kingdom ) lol

  • AWSOME video...Its cool to see the English happy for us cuz I know most of the pople here were rooting for you guys as well. I know that sometimes shitty politics get in the way and some times we talk shit to each other about this and that, but at the end of the day, we are much alike to each other and people from both our countries tend to forget that. Congrads to both countries for their success. Long live the US & UK!!!!
