You know, oddly enough, that opening had the full theme song, complete with these lyrics:

"I can see a part of me in you.

A little something special that comes shining through.

I hear it in your laughter,

And I feel it when you cry,

I will be right there for you,

Until the day I die."

When this version came out, those lyrics were dropped. But when the show came back in 1989, along with a new opening and theme song, those lyrics were put back in. How about that?

They needed to cut the middle part of the song to make room for the narration; when they dropped the narration, they had room for the full song.

I use to love to this show. Staci sure was cute. lol. Its a shame you couldn't do a show like this anymore without everyone constantly making a gay joke in today's world.

Also Max Carl (who was with 38 Special at the time) sung the song with Greg Evigan during the first season, and Greg sang it by himself later on.
