  • Very useful... just think of the video hardware you'll need to make it work, and the re-training you'll need just to flip windows around...

    I'm just too old for that crap...

  • Well, I run this on NVidia 7300 and integrated intel i915, which I think are one of the least powerful cards on the market.

  • People don't realize how even basic 3D cards can scream pixels around like there is no tomorrow. I played with jogl-demos for a bit on a crappy ati 9250, and it totally rocked. User interfaces are not tapping into this amazing power. Looking Glass does, but how about creating a nice Linux distro with it? How about an Lookibuntu or something...

  • Ive done a little research and it seems to me that Project Lookingglass has been abandoned... Thats too bad, looks like a nice desktop.
