  • @esh325 i do.

  • @1cme1 It's been widely reported that many AR15's can't run steel cased ammo. At the same time, many people have reported no issues with running steel cased ammo with AR15's. The AK on the other hand, all of them will run steel cased ammo. Do you see my point?

  • @esh325 i know, but your AR-15 failing to run it does not mean most AR-15's will.

  • @1cme1 As many that will run steel cased, will not run it. I have a video of my AR15 failing on steel ammo on my page.

  • @esh325 i have not seen that, so i couldnt say. i've had people tell me wolf ammo ruins the rifling in your barrel but that isn't true, so unless i see most AR-15's failing to run wolf ammo with my own eyes then i cant determine that to be a fact. in most videos i've seen where steel cased ammo is being fired from AR's there are no issues, when i hear about failures its usually from a written story. however when im at the range, almost every time a low end AK is out there it has problems.

  • @1cme1 You have to judge by the numbers, not a single example. It does have to do with AR15 and AK in regards to lower quality/steel cased ammo. Most if not all AK's will run steel cased ammo/lower quality ammo. The same can not be said with the AR15.

  • @esh325 this is true, but mine costed less than 800 dollars and can run steel cased flawlessly. naturally some variants don't like certain brands of ammo, that is simply the nature of firearms and has nothing to do with AR-15's and AK-47's. my personal opinion is that there is very little difference in reliability of the two platforms when comparing the modern examples with each other. but if someone asked me what they should buy for their first and maybe only tactical carbine i'd say the AK-74.

  • @1cme1 The AK can jam, but the AR15 type weapons are much more prone to failure then the AK usually. Not all AR15's will feed steel cased ammo reliably, regardless of build quality. I have a video of my Colt HBAR jamming on steel ammo.

  • @Dielitos entirely untrue, i've seen plenty of ak-47's jam up and have all kinds of internal problems. i havent seen an AR-15 jam since the early vietnam models. i've put thousands of rounds through my low end AR-15 and it has never once jammed, and i use cheap, dirty, steel cased ammo in it. the AK-47 sucks by modern standards. the ergonomics suck, the ballistics suck, and the bullet drop sucks. get an AK-74, theres a reason the Russian military uses it instead of the 47.

  • @Slajjin maybe not but the .308s see some...in the military they call that 7.62x51...alot of squads have a designated marksman who use that round...although 4 outa 5 times its an M-14...thats what we carry on my ship(NAVY) however in the navy our threats are going to be alot farther away
