@JaredEtherton Fairly frequently, about once a month I believe, its been a while since I lived in Manhattan. They are meant to be able to, quite literally, lock the city down in case of another emergency such as 9/11.

@GTAC13 Really? Why? I always wondered why the NYPD still used the Red and White Revolving Lightbulbs instead of the modern LED Lightbars. They use LED's in their Grills and Trunk but other than that the lights are very old.
