Bill Richardson on Micro-lending

New Mexico Governor and Democratic Presidential Candidate Bill Richardson was asked the following question while speaking at a campaign stop at the Cresco Chamber of Commerce in Cresco, IA:

"I've seen a lot of the candidates, and you were one of the first ones I've heard even mention micro-lending. I was wondering if you could elaborate on how you think the government could get involved or if the government should get involved in promoting micro-lending as a federal aid program?"
